The Mio 10-Year Mattress Guarantee
Who the guarantee is for.
Mio’s ten-year guarantee only extends to the wise person who originally purchased the mattress from Mio Sleep Ltd or an authorised retailer. The guarantee is not transferable, and it’s valid only for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress.
What we guarantee.
As long as the Mio mattress is used normally, for its intended purpose, and placed on a suitable base, Mio Sleep Ltd guarantees the mattress against defects* in material and workmanship for a period of ten years from the time of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.
*Mio’s guarantee applies to the following Defects:
- Lasting, visible indentations greater than 33mm that are caused by deterioration and are not the result of the mattress being placed on an improper or unsupportive bed base.
- Splits or cracks in the foam material that appear despite normal use and handling.
- Any fault in the mattress cover zip assembly that results from the manufacturing process.
Mio’s guarantee does not cover:
- A normal increase in the softness of the pressure-relieving surface if it has no affect Mio’s pressure-relieving capability.
- Your comfort preference.
- Any defects or damage to the mattress or cover caused by improper use. These include cuts, tears, liquid spills, stains, soiling and burns.
- The replacement of non-defective parts if the defective part can be replaced separately.
In the event of a defect, Mio Sleep Ltd’s sole and exclusive liability will be to provide the original purchaser with a repaired or replacement mattress or mattress cover. Replacement covers may be of a different design, colour or material than the one originally purchased.
Any dispute between a buyer and Mio Sleep Ltd arising from our ten-year guarantee will be settled by an independent body such as FIRA International. They’ll produce a full and impartial written report on the Mattress in question, the cost of which will be borne by the original buyer. The report will be issued to all parties, and should it find in favour of the buyer, we’ll refund the cost of the report and repair or exchange the mattress as promised in our guarantee. Mio Sleep Ltd will not be held responsible for any other costs or expenses.

This 10 year Mattress guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

We’ll make every effort to deliver your Mio mattress within 5 – 7 working days (it may take a little longer in the Scottish Highlands). However this is Britain, and unforeseen delays caused by things like traffic or bad weather do sometimes occur. As a result we can’t accept liability, financially or otherwise, if your Mio arrives a little later than expected.
If you’re purchasing a Mio to replace your existing mattress, we recommend that you don’t dispose of your old one until your new one arrives – just in case. We’d hate it if you had to sleep on the sofa.
We do not deliver to the following locations: Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands, & Northern Ireland.
If signing for multiple items, please check that you’re receiving exactly what you’re signing for – we’ll be unable to replace any missing items later on.
Changing the delivery address on an existing order isn’t possible. The original order must be cancelled and a new one placed.
Your Mio mattress can be returned free of charge within hundred nights of the date of delivery. However because we recommend you try Mio for 14 nights before deciding if it’s right for you, we can’t arrange to pick up an unwanted mattress until 14 days after the date of delivery.
While trialling a Mio mattress, it’s your responsibility to treat it with due care and attention. If your mattress shows signs of abuse or damage, such as stains, rips, burns etc, that are not the result of a defect in material or workmanship, we reserve the right to refuse its return.
Unfortunately bespoke and European-sized mattresses are non-returnable.
You will be required to return any items sent to you as part of a deal or promotion.
Cancelling your order isn’t a problem. We understand people change their minds all the time. Should you wish to cancel after your order has already been dispatched, simply refuse the delivery. Once the item(s) arrives back at our warehouse, we will process your refund.
We regret that orders for bespoke or European-sized mattresses cannot be cancelled once they’ve been accepted by us.
Once a returned item has been received and inspected by us, we’ll refund you within 14 days.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund on a mattress that shows signs of abuse or damage, such as stains, rips, burns etc, that are not the result of a defect in material or workmanship.
Bespoke and European-sized mattresses are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event you’re sent a damaged Mio mattress, we ask that you notify us within 30 days of delivery. We may require photographic evidence for verification.
Failing to report damage within the 30 days will affect your right to return your Mio mattress.
100 Night Trial.
Free returns! Order a Mio and if, within 100 nights, you don’t think it’s the best mattress you’ve ever, ever slept on, let us know. We’ll come and collect it for free and provide a full refund. All we ask is that you give it at least 30 nights before you make any rash decisions. One mattress trial per household.
